Turquoise Yak bone Yogi Necklace
This special piece was created with inlaid yak bone beads from Tibet, a splash of genuine turquoise rice beads from Arizona picked up on a recent trip, red carnelian, gold vermeil beads, red Jasper, stabilized turquoise, and an amulet made by monks in a small village monastery in Thailand.
Turquoise is said to be the most ancient stone adorned by humans, and that of wisdom. Turquoise has been worn for centuries as talisman by shamans, Warriors and kings. When worn it provides solace for the spirit and well being for the body. It benefits the overall mood and emotion by balancing and inducing a sense of serenity and peace.
Yak is an important animal in Tibet as they are used as packing animals for the nomadic tribes. To honor their passing they are used in practice, continuing to be of service as they pass from this consciousness to another.
Wearing yak bone is a reminder of impermanence - the more we contemplate impermanence and death, the more fruitful life becomes. Yak bone is also said to help maintain good blood circulation.
All materials used in the creation of this necklace are recycled, ethically sourced and fair trade materials.
